Effect of ginkgo extracts on adhesion molecules at transcriptional level in human endothelial cells. Ginkgo extracts exhibited a similar inhibitory effect on transcription of adhesion molecules: at 250 μg/mL, G4E (grey bars) and G24 (white bars) showed 50% and 40% inhibition of E-selectin transcription, respectively (a), while VCAM-1 mRNA was not impaired (c); the slight inhibition of ICAM-1 transcription was significant only for G4E extract (30% inhibition) (b).
