Epigenetic Regulation of IL-17-Induced Chemokines in Lung Epithelial Cells

<div>DNA methyltransferase inhibition in HBE1 cells. HBE1 cells were plated 0.08-0.15 million cells per well in a 12-well plate. After incubating with BronchiaLife™ Epithelial Airway Medium overnight, cells were treated with control medium, 100 ng/ml h-IL-17A protein, 1 <i>μ</i>M 5-azacytidine, and 100 ng/ml h-IL-17A plus 1 <i>μ</i>M 5-azacytidine, respectively. 6 h after stimulation, chemokine production (a) <i>CXCL1</i>, (b) <i>CXCL2</i>, and (c) <i>CXCL8</i> was determined by RT-PCR.
