Inhibition of A_2BR by PSB1115 decreased apoptosis but promoted epithelial cell proliferation. Cell apoptosis in intestinal tissues was determined by IHC staining for caspase-3 (a) and TUNEL assay (b). In addition, Ki67 staining was performed to assess cell proliferation.
