Effects of Urate-Lowering Therapy on Risk of Hyperlipidemia in Gout by a Population-Based Cohort Study and on <i>In Vitro</i> Hepatic Lipogenesis-Related Gene Expression

<div>Viability of HepaRG cells following exposure to antigout drugs. HepaRG cells were exposed to allopurinol (14.7 and 22.1 <i>μ</i>M), febuxostat (5.66 and 13.09 <i>μ</i>M), benzbromarone (4.24 and 7.73 <i>μ</i>M), sulfinpyrazone (32.24 and 56.04 <i>μ</i>M), probenecid (243.9 and 520.6 <i>μ</i>M), and colchicine (7.51 × 10<sup>-4</sup> and 0.075 <i>μ</i>M) for 24 h. Cell viability was monitored by measuring cellular acid phosphatase activity using <i>p</i>-nitrophenylphosphate as a substrate.
