Processing the accelerometer data (a) allows estimating the activity level of each subject. Segments in bold show when the subject presents high activity (e.g., driving, tilting, and moving) as opposed to segments with low activity (e.g., resting, wheelchair stopped). The activity detection is based on the standard deviation of the accelerometer data (b) and a fixed threshold.
