Heart rate exceeding 85% of maximum estimated HR (HR > 0.85 (220 – age – HR^rest) + HR^rest)

Fall in blood pressure (BP_s < BP_s^rest, BP_d < 80 mmHg)

Hypertension (BP_s > min {200 mmHg, BP_s^rest + 10 mmHg} or BP_d > 110 mmHg)

“Very strong” perceived effort (Borg Category-Ratio Scale [70] (CR10) ≥ 7)

“Severe” pain (VAS Pain Scale [71] ≥ 7)
