Similar to Figure 1, but for the SLP grid data using two-dimensional DWT. The sample grid data is filtered in the vertical direction at first, and then the acquired parts are decomposed in the horizontal direction, respectively. After these steps, we obtain four components: LL (approximation in two directions), LH (vertical approximation and horizontal detail), HL (vertical detail and horizontal approximation), and HH (detail in both directions).
