Phosphorylation of glutamate receptors in the hippocampus was increased by TPPU and 14,15-EET. (a) Hippocampal slices were incubated with TPPU and 14,15-EET for 20–25 min and then washed. Homogenate from the hippocampus was prepared and blotted with antibodies to serine 831 (Ser-831) phosphorylation in the GluR1 subunit of the AMPA receptor and total GluR1 subunit of the AMPA receptor and (b) Tyr-1472 phosphorylation in the NR2B subunit of the NMDA receptor and total NR2B subunit of the NMDA receptor. Data represent means ± SEM in each experiment. .
