The model comprises two steps: (1) predict the fMRI response,, by multiplying the CF model with the measured source fMRI signal , and (2) the CF position () and size () are estimated by varying parameters and selecting the best fit between the predicted time series and the measured BOLD signal . Then this procedure is repeated for every voxel in the target region.
