Effect of CSM bark extract on intracellular ROS production in cardiomyocytes. Cardiomyocytes were treated with chestnut extract (1–100 μg/mL) for 24 h, oxidative damage was then induced exposing the cells to 100 μM H2O2 for 30 min, and intracellular ROS were determined using the peroxide-sensitive fluorescent probe DCFH-DA as described in Materials and Methods section.
