Mitogenesis of Vascular Smooth Muscle Cell Stimulated by Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-bb Is Inhibited by Blocking of Intracellular Signaling by Epigallocatechin-3-<i>O</i>-Gallate

<table>Inhibitory effect of EGCG on PDGF-bbinduced MMP gelatinolytic activity in RAOSMC. Gelatin catalytic activity was analyzed by gelatin zymography using conditioned medium. The band intensity was normalized by densitometry. PDGF-bb induced the gelatinolytic activity of MMP-9 and MMP-2. However, both preincubated and coincubated EGCG inhibited secretion of PDGF-bbinduced MMP-9 and MMP-2 activity.</table>
