Protein O-GlcNAc modification levels and expression of O-GlcNAc cycling enzymes in retinas of young and old rats. SD rats aged five months (young) and 25 months (old) were sacrificed; total proteins of retina tissues were prepared for analysis. OGA, OGT, and O-GlcNAcylation of proteins were analyzed by Western blot ((a) Western blot image and (b) statistical analysis). The values are the means ± S.E.M from 8 rats per group. ^∗𝑃<0.05 and ^∗∗𝑃<0.01 as calculated by Student’s 𝑡-test.
