Methyl gallate protects cell viability by preventing apoptosis. Neonatal RCMs, pretreated with 5 mM NAC or 50 μM MG prior to stress induction with H2O2 for 24 hours, were stained with Annexin V and PI and analyzed by flow cytometry to assess apoptotic events by scatter distribution (a).
