Epigallocatechin-3-Gallate Enhances the Therapeutic Effects of Leptomycin B on Human Lung Cancer A549 Cells

Figure 1

(a) The cytotoxicity of EGCG on A549 cells. Cells were seeded in 96-well plates (5 × 103 cells/well) and treated with EGCG (0–160 μM) for 24 and 48 h. (b) The cytotoxicity of LMB and LMB + EGCG on A549 cells. Cells were treated with LMB (0–10 nM) for 24 and 48 h or LMB (0–10 nM) + EGCG (20 μM) cotreatment for 24 and 48 h. After treatment, 10 μL of 5 mg/mL MTT was added to each well and incubated at 37°C for 3 h. The medium was aspirated and the remaining formazan was solubilized with DMSO and absorbance was measured at 570 nm (reference wavelength of 630 nm). Data are expressed as the percentage of the value as compared to the cells treated with the vehicle control. Data represented as mean ± SE.
