Effects of FO+ALA-PS on aortic ROS production and the levels of MDA and GSH in serum and liver of mice. ROS in the aorta of the mice was detected by using DHE which reacts with ROS and forms ETH that binds to DNA and produces red fluorescence signal, visualized with fluorescence microscope (×200) and quantified (a). Fluorescence intensities in randomly selected areas of the images were quantified by using the IPP image analysis software. Values are given as mean ± standard deviation of the mean () (b).
