Cross Talk Mechanism among EMT, ROS, and Histone Acetylation in Phorbol Ester-Treated Human Breast Cancer MCF-7 Cells

TPA treatment induces EMT processes in human breast cancer MCF-7 cells. (a) MCF-7 cell migration into the wound field was monitored by the method described in Section 2. The scale bars show 200 μm. (b) MCF-7 cells were treated with 1 nM TPA for 12 h. After that, the cell proliferation was evaluated by CCK-8 assay ( versus vehicle). MCF-7 cells were treated with the indicated concentrations of TPA for 24 h (c) or 1 nM TPA for the indicated times (d). RT-PCR was then carried out. RT-PCR data were normalized using β-actin levels (, versus vehicle (c) or 0 h (d)).
