Exercise Training Attenuates Upregulation of p47phox and p67phox in Hearts of Diabetic Rats

Amelioration of cardiomyopathy by exercise training. Hyperglycemia induces overexpression of cytoplasmic subunits of NADH oxidase ( and ) in left ventricle. Overexpression of these subunits exhibits high reactive oxygen species and leads to increased collagen III and hence cardiomyopathy. Exercise training (ExT) mitigates the expression of , and consequently ameliorates heart dysfunctions.
