Curcumin Reverses the Diazepam-Induced Cognitive Impairment by Modulation of Oxidative Stress and ERK 1/2/NF-κB Pathway in Brain

The effect of curcumin administration on the ERK 1/2 levels in the brain. In the hippocampus, ERK 1/2 level was significantly lower in the curcumin group as compared to control (). Diazepam administration significantly increased the ERK 1/2 protein as compared to curcumin (). Diazepam and curcumin administration diminished the ERK 1/2 level (). In the frontal lobe, diazepam and curcumin treatment stimulated the ERK 1/2 activation (). Each group consisted of 10 rats.
