Resveratrol Attenuates Copper-Induced Senescence by Improving Cellular Proteostasis

CuSO₄-induced proteostasis imbalance is attenuated by resveratrol. Protein load index (PLI), used as a measure of cellular protein accumulation, was calculated as the ratio between total protein content and cell number for each condition, at different time-points after CuSO₄ treatment (0, 24, 48, and 72 h). PLI values were normalized for the initial time-point (0 h) and the relative values are plotted for the indicated conditions. Data represent mean ± SEM of at least three independent experiments. , when compared to control cells in the absence of resveratrol; and , relatively to CuSO₄-treated cells without resveratrol, at the respective time-points.
