Deletion of NOX2 suppresses protein expression of NLRP3 inflammasome and its products at the 7-day post-TBI. Representative Western blots and quantification of all blots show the protein expression of NLRP3, ASC, cleaved caspase-1 (p20), and IL-1β in WT and NOX2 KO mice at the 7-day post-TBI. Deletion of NOX2 was able to suppress expression of the NLRP3 inflammasome and its products caspase-1 and IL-1β at this later time point.
