Echinacoside Alleviates UVB Irradiation-Mediated Skin Damage via Inhibition of Oxidative Stress, DNA Damage, and Apoptosis
Echinacoside prevented UVB-induced cytotoxicity. (a) Cells were exposed to different doses of UVB (0, 25, 50, 100, 300, and 500 mJ/cm2). (b) Cells were pretreated with echinacoside (25, 50, and 100 μM) before exposure to UVB (300 mJ/cm2). And 24 h later with UVB irradiation, cell viability was determined by MTT assay. (c) Cell injury was measured by quantifying the amount of LDH in the supernatant of cultures. (d) Morphological changes in HaCaT cells in response to UVB irradiation. Data are presented as means ± SD (). # and ## versus control group, versus UVB group.
