Brusatol Enhances the Chemotherapy Efficacy of Gemcitabine in Pancreatic Cancer via the Nrf2 Signalling Pathway

<div>Brusatol could abrogate the Nrf2 activation caused by gemcitabine. (a) The expression of Nrf2 in the indicated pancreatic cell lines that were treated with 0.5 <i>μ</i>M brusatol for 8 hours or/and 5 <i>μ</i>M gemcitabine for 48 hours was analyzed by Western blot analysis (a, b), real-time PCR analysis (c), and immunofluorescence staining (d). DAPI (blue) was used to indicate the nuclei (magnification, 400x).
