Histopathological features of CA1 region of the hippocampus. Control mouse brain section (I) showed normal histological structure of the neurons in the hippocampus. All intoxicated mice showed nuclear pyknosis and degeneration in the neurons. Treatment of quercetin 30 mg/kg (III), CHE 10 mg/kg (IV), CHE 100 mg/kg (V), and CHE 300 mg/kg (VI) showed nuclear pyknosis and degeneration in few neurons of the CA1 area of the hippocampus. H&E.
