DUOX1 Silencing in Mammary Cell Alters the Response to Genotoxic Stress

<div>DUOX1 silencing blunts IL-6 and IL-8 mRNA levels and secretion increase after genotoxic stress. DUOX1-deficient (shDUOX1) and control (shCTRL) cells were treated or not with 25 nM doxorubicin for 48 h. IL-6 (a) and IL-8 (b) mRNA levels were evaluated by quantitative RT-PCR; IL-6 (c) and IL-8 (d) secretion was measured by flow cytometry utilizing the CBA assay.
