Effects of taraxasterol on the levels of serum ALT and AST in mice with ethanol-induced liver injury. The mice were treated with taraxasterol (2.5, 5, and 10 mg/kg, respectively) or TPN and induced with EtOH as described in Materials and Methods. The levels of serum ALT and AST were determined by commercial reagent kits. The values represent the means ± SEMs and are expressed as U/l of sera. vs. normal group; and vs. EtOH group.
