Zinc-Induced SUMOylation of Dynamin-Related Protein 1 Protects the Heart against Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury

Effects of zinc on SUMO family members under physiological and H/R conditions. Compared with the control group, SUMO1 modification level of proteins and UBC9 in the H/R group decreased. The levels of SENP2, SENP5, and SENP7 decreased, while zinc (5 μM) reversed the changes of SUMO1 and SENP2, SENP5, and SENP7 (a–e, ).
