Aβ-induced toxicity in cultured SH-SY5Y cells. Cells were treated with 0, 1, 3, or 5 μM Aβ1-40 for 24 h or treated with 5 μM Aβ for 0, 6, 12, 24, or 48 h. Cell viability was measured using the MTT assay. The integrity of the plasma membrane was assessed by LDH release. Values are presented as the from four independent experiments. vs. control.
