Upregulation of Transient Receptor Potential Canonical Type 3 Channel via AT1R/TGF-β1/Smad2/3 Induces Atrial Fibrosis in Aging and Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats

Suppression of the TGF-β1/Smad2/3 signaling pathway with TRPC3 blockade. The atrial fibroblasts were exposed to Ang II with or without Pyr3. The protein expressions of TGF-β1 (a), P-Smad2/3, and Smad2/3 (b) are measured by Western blotting. The ratio of TGF-β1, Smad2/3, and P-Smad2/3 normalized to GAPDH was calculated. The ratio of P-Smad2/3/Smad2/3 shows the phosphorylation state. The analyzed data was shown from 5 independent experiments.
