Prooxidative Activity of Celastrol Induces Apoptosis, DNA Damage, and Cell Cycle Arrest in Drug-Resistant Human Colon Cancer Cells

The frequency of early and late apoptotic cells in LOVO/DX cell cultures incubated with celastrol (a) and coincubated with celastrol and NAC (b). The cells were double stained with Annexin V-FITC and PI fluorescent dyes (FITC Annexin V Apoptosis Detection Kit) and analyzed by flow cytometry. Control: LOVO/DX cells incubated without celastrol (gray), LOVO/DX cells incubated without celastrol and NAC (black).
