HIF1α-Induced Glycolysis in Macrophage Is Essential for the Protective Effect of Ouabain during Endotoxemia

The effects of ouabain in LPS-induced endotoxemia and H&E staining for the liver and lung tissue sections of mice. Mice () were pretreated with 0.56 mg/kg of ouabain (i.p.) or PBS. Half an hour after ouabain treatment, animals were administered with 5 mg/kg of LPS (i.p.). (a) The results indicated the level of proinflammatory cytokines in the serum of mice. (b) The results indicated the H&E staining for mouse liver and lung tissue sections and quantification of tissue damage. Results were expressed as and analyzed by GraphPad Prism using ANOVA, where all groups were compared. and .
