Oxidative Stress Induces Chondrocyte Apoptosis through Caspase-Dependent and Caspase-Independent Mitochondrial Pathways and the Antioxidant Mechanism of Angelica Sinensis Polysaccharide

Figure 7

Oxidative stress activates caspase-dependent and caspase-independent mitochondrial pathways in chondrocyte apoptosis. Following treatment, the levels of Bcl-2, Bcl-XL, Bax, and Bad in total cell lysates were determined by western blot analysis. Representative western blot (a) and quantification data (b–e) are shown, respectively. The relative protein levels were normalized to the level of the internal control, GAPDH, and presented as fold changes relative to the control group (the level of the control group was set as 1). Results are presented as of three independent experiments. Untreated chondrocytes were used as normal control. , versus normal control. #, ## versus H2O2 group.
