Effect of host age (at oviposition) and female age on the mature egg (individual egg chambers located in the vitellarium who displayed an ovoid form and had a slender tapering stalk at their posterior end (in black striped color in Figure 1)) load in Therophilus javanus. Caterpillars were two and four days old at the moment of oviposition. Error bars represent the standard errors of the means (). Means that were significantly different between two- and four-day-old hosts only according to GLM and Tukey HSD test are indicated by asterisks (; ; ns: nonsignificant).
