Series of light micrographs showing that porcine BM-MNCs failed to thrive in the chemical induction media. The BM-MNCs were initially plated in -MEM, 2 mM L-glutamine, and 10% FBS media for 48 hours (a). Cultures were then treated with 1 mM -mercaptoethanol added for 24 hours (b); (c) represents cultured cells in -MEM media for four days after being treated for 24 hours in -mercaptoethanol.
