Morphology, proliferation, and differentiation potential of canine adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs). Cultures display the characteristic fibroblastoid morphology (a) and proliferation capacity (b) of ASCs from other species. ASCs are able to differentiate into adipogenic, osteogenic, and chondrogenic lineages, as shown by staining with Oil Red O, Alizarin Red S, and Alcian Blue, respectively (c).
