PEMF stimulated Runx2 expression and its effect was downregulated by miR21-5p inhibitor. Human BMSCs from a 27-year-old female were transiently transfected with 50 nM of negative control miRNA or miR21-5p inhibitor for 3 days in osteogenic medium and PEMF treatment was carried out concurrently for 4 h each day for 3 days.
