Delayed Endothelial Progenitor Cell Therapy Promotes Bone Defect Repair in a Clinically Relevant Rat Model

Treatment of bone defects with EPCs increases biomechanical strength and stiffness. Torsional testing revealed that EPC treatment, either in an acute or delayed fashion, increased ultimate torque and torsional stiffness compared to the respective control groups.
