Fgf3 is expressed in the mesenchyme adjacent to LaCL, while Fgf10 is expressed in the mesenchyme adjacent to both LaCL and LiCL. Fgf9, Fgfr1, and Fgfr2 are restricted in transit-amplifying cells.
