An Improved Broadcast Authentication Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks Based on the Self-Reinitializable Hash Chains

The broadcasting process uses a reinitializable one-way hash key chain. Each key is used in its corresponding time interval. After distributing the seed of the previous key chain, the next key chain’s commitment will be calculated (I). After time intervals, a key will be disclosed (II). When the receiver receives the corresponding key (III), the stored packets can be authenticated (IV).
