Abstract

In order to understand the influence of different types of precipitates on the deformation behaviour, the development of texture and microstructure during rolling of two (011)[100] (Goss) oriented single crystals of Al-1.8wt%Cu and Al-1.3wt%Mn was investigated by means of X-ray pole figure measurements and TEM. For both precipitate containing alloys significant orientation scatterings corresponding to rotations around the transverse direction were observed. They are discussed in connection with the presence of the various particles.
