The combined effect of 21% versus 1% O₂ influxation in the culture media and light versus dark on the expression of LDH1, ADH2, PDC3, PFL1, and PFR1 followed a 12-hour period starting at 8:00 in the morning, with samples taken every 4 hours. Relative expression levels were measured by real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) (1 = the lowest value of expression measured in the 4 conditions).
