Optimization Methods in Information and Management Sciences
Description
This special issue continues to raise the aim of The Scientific World Journal in the operations research subject area through its cutting-edge presentation of advanced research, carefully developed applications, and innovative technology components. This special issue also provides a forum for researchers and practitioners to review and disseminate quality research work on optimization methods and their applications in the context of information and management sciences and to identify critical issues for further developments.
We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles on all aspects of optimization including deterministic approaches, continuous, mixed-integer and discrete optimization, stochastic optimization, heuristics, and hybrid methods. Of particular interest are papers devoted to the development of advanced optimization methods for direct or indirect use in information technology and management sciences. Contributions including computational issues, search strategies, and modeling and solution techniques to practical problems are also encouraged. We are particularly interested in articles illustrating new theoretical advances, integration of information technology with management science, and application to important scientific problems. Papers that advance or apply the knowledge on the information and management sciences are welcome. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Optimization methods and applications
- Operations management
- Supply chain management
- Management information system
- Industrial engineering and manufacturing systems
- Heuristic methods
- Multicriteria decision making
- Game theory
- Decision support system
- Electronic commerce
- Cloud computing
- Big data
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/tswj/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/tswj/operations.research/mims/ according to the following timetable:
