Description

Due to the rapid progress in system technology, our everyday living becomes more and more convenient. Recently, cloud and smart computing have made consumer electronic devices more adaptive to varying environmental conditions. With the increasing complexity in user requirements, system development for cloud and smart computing applications are also facing many new challenges, especially in system performance, resource usage, power consumption, and design adaptability. To support advanced cloud and smart computing applications, novel hardware/software architecture, complete programming models, efficient resource management techniques, and adaptive algorithms are thus becoming more and more important. Related investigators are invited to contribute original research articles that contribute to cloud computing and smart applications.

We are particularly interested in articles describing emerging system architectures, including hardware modules, communication infrastructures, operating systems, virtualization, and adaptive techniques.
