Emerging Technologies for Intelligent Vehicles Using Wireless Communication

Call for Papers

During the past decades, we have witnessed significant research and development efforts related to Intelligent Vehicles technologies. With low-cost sensors and increasing computational power, location-based intelligent vehicles constitute one of the hot research topics on the wireless communications and mobile computing research area. The growing interest in using wireless communications to connect vehicles with either other vehicles or the infrastructure is making intelligent vehicle research move towards the fields of smart interaction, driving monitoring, and location management. Moreover, intelligent vehicle information management systems play a vital role in supporting various advanced vehicle services such as location privacy, collision warning, and route planning. In this special issue, we aim to cover the most recent advances in Intelligent Vehicles, including their interaction with other vehicles in wireless mobile computing environments.

This special issue seeks to provide and highlight high-quality research and development activities from both academia and industry in Intelligent Vehicles. In addition to the technical novel contributions, we also welcome state-of-the-art review articles that provide our readers with current research trends in Intelligent Vehicles.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Wireless networking technologies for Intelligent Vehicles
  • Intelligent Vehicle software security
  • Data analysis and intelligence for Intelligent Vehicles
  • Human factors and human-vehicle interface
  • Privacy-aware location-based services
