Dextromethorphan Inhibits Activations and Functions in Dendritic Cells

ROS production in LPS-stimulated BMDCs was impaired by DXM. Immature BMDCs were stimulated with 100 ng/mL LPS with or without DXM for 18 h. The control group was treated with PBS alone. After incubation, the cells were harvested, stained with DCFDA, and analyzed by flow cytometry. The mean fluorescence intensities for ROS generation were tabulated. The data are represented as the mean ± SD in triplicate tests. All data are representative of three independent experiments. Significant differences between DXM-treated and untreated LPS-activated BMDCs are shown with asterisks ( ).
