Transmission of a 0.5 mm diameter straight polycapillary optic, compared to a simulation with two fitting parameters, waviness  0.15 mrad, and unintentional central axis bending radius [54]. The fiber had a measured open area of 64.5%, 10 μm channel diameter, and a length of 200 mm.
