Viability of primary normal bone marrow cells and normal CD34+ cells treated with algae extracts. Primary light density mononuclear cells (a) were treated with 8.0 μl/ml and 15 μl/ml doses of algae extracts for 24 hours and assayed for viability via annexin V staining. Normal CD34+ cells (b) isolated from healthy volunteers were isolated and cultured for 24 hours in the presence of algae extracts and stained for anexin V.
