Chromophore voiding patterns in asymptomatic adults. Examples of the patterns of change in detrusor chromophore concentration [O₂Hb], [HHb], and [tHb] from 4 asymptomatic adults ((a) 19 yrs, (b) 22 yrs, (c) 32 yrs, (d) 41 yrs). [O₂Hb] is increased for the majority of the voiding cycle, with an associated rise in [tHb], while change in [HHb] is minimal. The overall trend of [O₂Hb] and [tHb] is positive for all or the majority of the voiding cycle. These patterns are also comparable to those from asymptomatic children (Figure 3).
