IL-4 inhibits monocyte PGE2 secretion. IL-4 was added to the cells (10 ng/mL) alone or either with LPS (1 μg/mL) or IL-1 (10 ng/mL). Cells were incubated for 24 hrs before supernatants were collected. PGE2 levels were measured by ELISA and reported as pg/mL [43].
