CCN1 Induces -Catenin Translocation in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma through Integrin 11
Figure 5
Integrin α 11 mediates CCN1-induced -catenin activation and translocation. (a) Het-1A cells were pretreated with either preimmune serum (control) or anti-integrin α 11 antibody cultured in the absence (−) or presence (+) of CCN1 overnight. -catenin was pulled down from the cells lysates through immunoprecipitation, subsequently analyzed by Western blot for expression of total -catenin, active -catenin (dephosphorylated at Ser37 or Thr41), and Ser/Thr-phosphorylated -catenin. (b) Immunofluorescence microscopic analysis shows that blocking integrin α 11 with a specific antibody prevents CCN1 to induce -catenin translocation.
