Exploitation of the ubiquitin system by Salmonella-secreted effectors. SopA, SopB, SopE, and SptP are substrates of the host ubiquitination system. AvrA and SseL possess deubiquitinase activity. SopA, SlrP, SspH1, and SspH2 are E3 ubiquitin ligases. GogB interferes with the E3 ubiquitin ligase activity of the host SCF complex.
